Using Inspiration to Brainstorm

A tool suited to idea generation (brainstorming) should make it easy to:

• record ideas as they are generated
• organize ideas
• record comments related to an idea
• allow easy modification

Inspiration was developed specifically to encourage the production and organization of ideas. Ideas can be entered in either an outline or a graphical mode (see both below). Information input in one mode (e.g., outline), can be displayed and manipulated in the other mode (e.g., graphical). Inpiration has developed into a very sophisticated tool suitable for users over a wide range of sophistication and for a wide range of applications.
