In general, this site is available to anyone within the institutions with which Cindy or I are affiliated and to those at institutions requiring the use of one of our books. To gain access, the IP number of the machine you are using must be registered. (see email address at the bottom of this document).

If you would like to access all resources and services, please contact your instructor with the IP number you see above. Your course instructor should be able to take care of registering this number for you. As an alternative for students, contact me using an univeristy e-mail system and indicate your institution, course name, and instructor name.

In case you are wondering about how the IP is used: Providing your IP number does not place your computer at risk. A server must know your IP number to send you content. You provide this number to a server everytime you use your browser to connect to that server. When using IP numbers to protect content, the server is making a decision whether or not to return content by checking the IP of a requesting computer against the stored list of approved IP numbers.
