Brush Piles
Brush piles serve as high quality shelter and cover for many small mammals
but are of particular importance to cottontail rabbits. They use these areas
as resting and escape cover. Basically, brush piles should be constructed
with large materials such as rock or large logs on the bottom and smaller
materials piled on top. This will create a series of ''tunnels" and
last a long period of time if materials are dense enough to constrain predators
and bad weather but loose enough to allow access.
