State Wildlife Management Areas

North Dakota Outdoors

Sept.-Oct. 1996

The following is a list of state wildlife management areas. These areas are listed by couty using the Standard County Code. The name, acreage, location, most common game species, and fishing if available is listed for each area. Unless otherwise specified, the areas are open to hunting, fishing, and trapping. Check current hunting and fishing proclamations for details. Many areas also provide hunting or trapping for furbearers. Most WMAs are ideal for nature study, hiking, and primitive camping. Areas marked with an asterisk are leased to the Game and Fish Department by other agencies for management.
