Technical Alert Bulletin: 10 April 1995

Directly from our Worldwide Technical Support Staff, this bulletin is updated daily.
CGI Applications must be launched by the WebMaster

The Apple Internet Server Solution for the World Wide Web comes with more software than can be run at one time in 16 Megs of RAM. The WebMaster for the Internet server must configure and launch the databases that they wish to test. All the databases can be run simultaneously if additional RAM is added to the server.

E-mail CGI addresses should be changed

The E-mail CGI example sends e-mail to the mail server:
apple.com
which relays the e-mail message to an Apple address.

You should change the Email CGI HTML file to send the e-mail to your mail server and to an email address that you have access to. Otherwise, Apple will receive and discard all your test messages and you will never see the test messages that you send.
