The Web offers a large number of resources teachers and students can incorporate into a Whale Unit. Many of the resources listed here would make a valuable contribution to classes building a Project Wild Whale. I have included one general resource that lists many whale links and then some specific links I think you might find to be useful.
If none of the specific links I describe below meet your needs, this list should allow you find a large number of the educational sites available.
Here are a couple of sites prepared specifically for teachers and students. Both sites offer both curriculum ideas and resources (pictures, text, movies)
A very comprehensive site. Even a source describing building a whale out of plastic.
Another great site for educators. The multidisciplinary currciulum ideas are very useful if you would like to involve more than science classes in whale activities.
It may be useful to demonstrate that interest in whales, endangered species, and the environment is an international matter. Here are a couple of whale sites from other countries.
"Free Willy" has raised issues about whales in captivity that concern students. It is interesting to see how the organizations that keep whales address the issue.

Taking people out to watch whales is a business and many sites exist to offer such services. These sites often provide educational materials.
This organization provides some helpful information and describes how they combine their commercial interests and a commitment to the scientific study of whales.
