Mastery advocates recognize that the pace at which learners will be able to learn differs and feel differences in learning speed are a very important factor in instructional design. If mastery advocates are correct, every teacher is faced with the same individual variability whether the teacher is interested in mastery instructional techniques or not. List a couple of ways in which teachers accommodate existing differences in the rate at which students in their classes are able to learn.
